Liliah is wearing a dress that my grandmother made me and I wore when I was 17 months old
My mom found this dress of mine last summer prior to our referral of Liliah. She also found a picture of her & I together with me wearing it. When she told me this last summer, I told my mother.....I bet my daughter will be near that age & will fit in that dress.....sure enough she did. It was one of those neat details that only God could arrange.....I love Him and he knows I like surprises!!! I am going to frame the dress & include the two pictures as well as my grandmothers!
Last weekend, we went to the Northwest Flower & Garden Show. I love, love, love this show & look forward to it every February. It's Spring inside and really helps me get through the late winter dark days. I also love to garden so it gives me a little fix until I can get my fingers in the dirt.
We were trying to get a nice picture of the 3 of us at "The King & I" display, but couldn't get rid of this guy.....oh well....at least you can see Darryl was with us!
My daff's & tulips are starting to poke up through the ground in my yard
Liliah found JT's kitchen bed......
Nap time........
I caught Maddy being naughty and dippin' into the leftover pancake batter......
I just love this pretty doggie......she really is a good girl except for a few chewed up things, like Liliah's pink plastic pull apart necklace and a pair of jeans that she chewed the bottom out of!!! She is very sweet with Liliah and loves to follow her all over the house for kisses and I'm the snacks dropped help too :=)
BELOW....does it get any better than this......I just love my adorable little girl.......
We celebrated Valentine's Day @ PF Chang's. We had dinner with my parents on August 25, 2008, the day we found out about Liliah. We thought it would be a great first Valentine together. They were smitten with her & we told them a little of our story. The operating partner came by to let us know that they had taken care of our meal! What a wonderful surprise and blessing - we were blown away at their generosity. Liliah looked so pretty in a red dress that the Anderson's (1 of our traveling buddies) bought her while we were in China.
She loves to play with chopsticks
Dinner was delicious
More chopstick moves
Eatin' oatmeal & bananas
When the spoon doesn't work, using your hands work too!
January 12, one month ago today........was the best day of our lives!!! We carried you in our heart for a long time, and you were in our dreams......but to see you walk through those doors......was just unbelievable and magical...........
When we got back to the hotel, we thought we'd break the ice by giving you a snack. You were sweet and willing to come to us. You & daddy are bonding over Cheerio's.
Mom & I have settled into a nice little routine this week. We get up @ a respectable time (no more sleeping until 2PM), eat breakfast & playtime, take afternoon nap (2+hours), eat a snack, more playtime, dinner & then off to bed @ 7:30AM. I also learned a new "scary face" that I make when I'm SO excited or eat something really good. Mama is still trying to catch it on video
This one's for you Uncle Perry, Auntie Diana, cousins Jacob, K.T and Taylor. I love this outfit....especially the bunny hat which I love to wear for most occasions!
Look what Brandie (aka honorary auntie!), Kasey and Savannah brought me, yippee!
Here's me and Brandie.....look there's Mama
All ready for a winter stroll through the neighborhood. Miss Maddy is ready and waiting by the door
All bundled up and looking like a cute pink marshmallow
