Look at the pretty sunflowers Mama & I planted this year

We are soaking every last bit of sunshine and beautiful weather before the cool fall weather comes to stay. . . .

Fall model shoot

Look at my new fall outfit. I am loving my new suede boots!

Time for some fun

Time for a break from your backyard project, Daddy.....let's play ball.....

Look what I can do after watching daddy do it the weekend before! I love to help Daddy & mommy do things.

Two Cuties From China!

I'm on my way to meet Jordyn @ the local Children's museum. Jordyn is from China too and just came home in July. Jordyn & I are the same age.....okay, so I'm older by a few months!

Hanging out in the wildlife clinic

It was so neat seeing them together
We hardly took any pictures as us mommies were busy visiting.

A very happy mommy with her beautiful girl

I think someone has done this before!

All buckled up and ready to go! We headed to lunch afterward to enjoy some Chinese cuisine. We spent a couple of hours there and went way past the girls nap time. They were happy though and even started interacting more. Kelly & Jordyn, we can't wait for our next play date!

Look What I Can Do!

It is so much fun watching, helping and encouraging you as you learn new things! I love your enthusiasm and laughter, they fill my heart to the brim.

You can now drink from a cup and open the front door. You like to help me put your clothes on by standing up and putting your hands on my shoulders to steady yourself. You still trust my judgment on what clothes to wear for the day :)

You love to stir things.....mostly make believe, but you have tried your hand at mixing your chocolate milk. You love to sit on the counter and watch me make meals.

Tonight you helped me make Daddy's favorite, meatloaf by pouring in the ingredients and giggled when mommy formed the loaves and patted their little bottoms! Daddy has been away 3 days and we have missed him. We can't wait to see and surprise him with a special meal.

Fun At The Fair

Liliah & I headed to her first country fair. What a treat this was for me! I love seeing the animals & exhibitions of quilts, flowers, produce and kids drawings. Last year my parents were visiting us and we attended this fair a few days after we received the referral of Liliah. To be back a year later with my daughter was special & surreal.

No need for a girl not to look good while doing some chores! Auntie Lori, thank you for my pretty dress.......

Yee ha, what else does a girl want to do at the country fair........
Liliah has a thing for "crakors", gucks (trucks) & cars

A couple of American girls.......

Dancing in the chicken & bunny barn

Being brave & petting her first bunny

We saw A L L kinds of bunnies......this was our favorite

Liliah was very interested and entertained by the chickens & roosters

Doing ballet with the cows.....

This big guy seemed to appreciate it
(I always think of Grandpa, Dad when I go visit the cows. I remember when he told us kids to stay in the house because "red" got loose again. I remember looking outside of the farmhouse and see this big calf just bucking & running down the driveway)

She was N O T happy about putting her face near this and having her picture taken

That's her petting baby piglet while I held her....

How sweet is that.....

You can see here that she was a little worried about a stranger taking our picture.

Excuse me.....I have something I want to say.......
(I did not drive down the street with her not in her car seat. Before the fair, we stopped at the bakery and shared a pecan roll. I thought I'd capture some of her cuteness)

Hi!

Y'all Come Back Now Ya Hear!

Birthday Zoo Visit

We took you to the zoo a couple of days before your birthday to celebrate. You had such a fun time and really enjoyed yourself which was the perfect gift for Daddy & Mommy. We are taking a break here to share a scoop of birthday cake ice cream!

You were so excited about this animal swimming around....what is it?

An otter.....
