Hello, Guangzhou

Picture of the day......Daddy hangin' with his girl

Preparing for take-off

The Hay's all buckled in

I took a picture today of the clothes that Liliah came to us in on the day we received her

We spent Saturday meeting with our guide and having put in our hands the important documents we needed to take with us to the US Consulate in Guangzhou. We then headed to the airport where our girls boarded their first flight on a Boeing 737. They did great and Liliah didn't seem to have any problems with take-off and climb. Towards the end the (only 1 hour flight) she had a bit of a melt down. Oh well, the girl has been on the go and missed her AM/PM nap. We arrived @ The Asia International Hotel, found our room around 3PM and put her down for a little nap. The hotel is very nice and 45 stories high. We eat breakfast on the 45th floor which offers a revolving panoramic view as well as an amazing array of western food. Darryl won't be ablel to eat up there as he says it gives him the feeling of verdigo. I will eat and then bring down the food to the 2 of them.

We have been reunited with the families that we traveled with in Beijing. It has been nice to chat with, meet the kids, hear their Gotcha stories and experiences in the other provinces. We are apart of an amazing group of people and we are trying to spend as much time together as we can. Today, we decided to stay in our room the first 1/2 of the day as we needed some down-time. We organized our room and got Liliah back on her nap schedule (as well as ours) so she'd be a happy girl......a better recipe for happy parents. @ 3PM, Darryl stayed with Liliah while I headed to the paperwork party for the completing of our official documents that will be headed to the Consulate in the next few days. We forked over some more dinero to our guides, handed them our laundry (they are taking such good care of us) and then headed out for dinner w/our friends. On our walkabout, we discovered an Italian restaurant that had good food. We really got to spend time just relaxing over conversation and enjoying each others company. Seemed there was consensus that we'd like to plan to have future reunions back in the States. We capped the night off back in Hay's (our travel mates for the entire trip - who by the way are also next door to us.....we can't get rid of these people...hee hee) room for some crawling and Playdo time while the adults chatted away again! Liliah is getting to be such a live wire. She and Jonah (3 wks older than her) had a ball together and were practicing their crawling racing skills. Tomorrow we are headed to the Botanical Gardens @ 9:30AM - can't wait.

I'm off to bed now...........goodnight from Guangzhou, China (P.S. be sure to scroll down as I was able to make 2 posts today & I've loaded a video)
